[...] Toyota Recalls Lawsuits – Toyota may be facing a lengthy, uphill legal battle in the months to come, as there are reports of dozens of lawsuits soon to be filled in over 25 states. In Houston, Mr. Harris has filed a $200 lawsuit on behalf of his wife, Trina Harris, who was killed in December when her Corolla’s accelerator got stuck down, causing the car to speed up out of control, and crash into a concrete divider at high speed. Although Toyota has announced they have found a solution to the sticking accelerator problem, which is affecting as many as eight models, consumers may have to wait for repairs. [...]

I tend to agree with Pobept's comment above. I too think that given a year or two this whole ordeal will blow over and Toyota will still be on top.

Some have said these problems will be forgotten in a year or so. This may be so for American buyers. Americans are quick to forgive once the problem is resolved.

Other markets, Japan, Korea, Germany and so on seem to be much slower in forgiving manufactures of producing / selling products that prove to have life threating problems.
