You know her as the girl from numerous 1980’s heavy metal music videos and as the wife of heavy metal band Whitesnake lead singer, David Coverdale. Their marriage lasted only two years, after which, Tawny found herself appearing on various television shows, including America’s Funniest People and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. You may also remember her as Tom Hanks’ bride-to-be in the 1984 movie Bachelor Party. Most recently, Julie “Tawny” Kitaen has appeared on VH1’s The Surreal Life in the cast of 2006, and as a patient in season 2 of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
Tawny Kitaen & Chuck Finley
In 2006, Tawny was arrested for drug possession, but this wasn’t her first run in with the law. Tawny was arrested in 2002 after then-husband, major league baseball player Chuck Finley, accused her of spousal battery. Kitaen’s and Finley’s marriage lasted only three days after. According to the police report, Tawny was wielding a stiletto heel at Finley from the passenger seat while he drove the family car. Tawny’s divorce from Finley led to a difficult custody battle over their two children.
The 2006 drug possession charge found Tawny facing an indictment for possessing 15 grams of cocaine. The cocaine was found in her San Juan Capistrano home, were police allege her two children were living and at home when the cocaine was discovered. Tawny’s latest encounter with the law was on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at around 3 p.m., when Tawny was pulled over in her Range Rover and later arrested for suspected driving under the influence. Tawny, now 48, was released a short time later after posting $2,500 bail.

After appearing on Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab, and prior to being arrested on September 26, Tawny attended an outpatient rehabilitation program in Newport Beach. At the time, Tawny owned a house in Newport and also had family in the area. Since her most recent arrest, Tawny has listed her Newport Beach house for sale, asking $3.45 million.

Wow, what a difference Tawny looks from her Chelsea Handler interview to her mugshot pic! I can’t believe how irresponsible she is. A mother should be setting examples for her children, not demonstrating what not to do. I wish her well.
I agree, she is a complete mess. She even did that celebrity rehab show with Dr. Drew, and she appeared to be “cured”… but that clearly was not the case and this most recent DUI proves it!
