One week before Christmas, Jon and Kate Gosselin finalized their divorce in a Pennsylvania courthouse. Ten years after first tying the knot, and after five seasons of the family’s hit TLC TV show “Jon and Kate Plus 8”, this news came as little surprise after tabloid rumors of infidelity by both Jon and Kate.
The couple’s eight children will remain in Kate’s custody and will continue to live in the family’s home (seen in the final season of Jon & Kate Plus 8).
“I am very relieved that our divorce has been finalized,” Kate Gosselin told members of the media. “This has been a challenging transition for all of us, but I am confident that we will move ahead with the important task of restructuring our lives.”
So here we are, nearly two months later, and fans of the show are beginning to ask what the ex-couple and their eight children have in store for the future.
Well, last week the New York Daily News ran a story called Jon and Kate Gosselin in talks with TLC to resume filming their children again. Reports say that Jon is willing to let his children go back on TV if TLC is willing to drop its breach of contract suit claiming Jon made paid appearances on other television networks.
A source not cited said, “Jon does not have money for the intense lawyer fees and ensuing battle with the media giant and Kate has asked him to reconsider his decision for the family.”
Kate is willing to negotiate with Jon and TLC to come to an agreement where everyone walks away getting what they want.
It’s hard to believe that the Gosselins need money. Kate has appeared on “The View” and has announced she will be publishing a new book, “I Just Want You to Know”, this spring. According to a Fox411 source, Kate is working diligently to find new jobs and projects that will help her to secure the lifestyle she wants for her children.
Clearly, everyone from Jon to Kate to each of their eight children are in high demand. Viewers want more. So it shouldn’t be too long before we see a new Gosselin reality show.

I won’t be too surprised to see a new series, “Kate Plus 8″… But to be honest I’m surprised that Jon has gone back on his reasons for not wanting his kids on the show any longer. He must be too used to the money! A real job is probably out of the question for him!

I think that both Jon and Kate have gotten too used to the good life, and now that reality is setting in, and they see that they can’t afford their lavish lifestyles without TLC’s money… Those kids will be back on TV soon!
