Last week in Charlie Sheen was charged with felony menacing and two misdemeanor charges, which includes criminal mischief and third-degree assault, after an Aspen, Colorado incident late last year in which police say he assaulted his wife Brooke Mueller. This is a serious charge and Sheen could be facing up to three years of jail time.
Clearly the producers and his co-stars on CBS’ number one-rated, hit sitcom “Two and a Half Men” are not too happy with the news. This could not only spell trouble for the show’s production schedule, but could also affect the sales of CBS’ commercial time due to scheduling and many advertisers may want to shy away from Sheen.
Sheen was arrested on December 25, 2009, after police say he held a knife to Mueller’s throat while threatening to have her killed. These events unfolded after arguing escalated and Mueller said she wanted a divorce and custody of their children, Sheen told police. Mueller said she was then straddled by Sheen, pinned to her bed, and held by her neck while he held a knife to her throat.
Later on that day, Sheen was released from the Pitkin County Jail after posting $8,500 bond.
According to Sheen’s attorney, the actor is attending alcohol counseling, plus taken a number of steps to ensure Mueller’s safety. In addition, Sheen met with a local group that offers help for battered women.
Mueller, an actress and real estate investor, is Sheen’s third wife. The two were married in May 2008 and have twin sons nearly a year old.
Mueller has since forgiven her husband, which was evident when the recent hearing in Aspen ended and the two embraced one another and briefly spoke. Up until this point a protective order was in place from the time Sheen was arrested.

So let me get this straight.. Charlie holds a knife to his wife’s throat and threatens to have her killed, but she didn’t leave him and has forgiven him..? What is wrong with celebrities?
This is humorous! Imo he was superb acting in Two and a Half Men, but perhaps it was mainly because he was simply playing himself:-)
