She was held for around five hours early Thursday morning until she posted $5,000 bail. Jodi Seth, spokesperson for Senator Kerry, stated that Alexandra was administered a breathalyzer test which showed that she was under the California legal limit of 0.80. A media relations officer with the LAPD, Officer April Harding, said that an individual can still be arrested for DUI if that person shows disregard for others while driving recklessly, even if a blood-alcohol test comes back negative. Yeah, I agree. No one suspected any criminal charges would come of Alexandra’s arrest. Especially after she tested below the legal limit when given a breathalyzer. But yeah, being Senator Kerry’s daughter couldn’t have hurt her case.

Well, it looks like you were right! They dropped the charges, but I don’t think anyone was too surprised to see that happen. That’s what you get when you’re the daughter of a powerful politician!
